Information on Norman McLeod Priestley

I am looking for information on Norman McLeod Priestley who was born in 1872 in Ireland. His father was William Priestley.  Norman was a Journeyman Engine Fitter.  He married Mary Ann McDonald in 1903 in Durham and they had a son also called Norman McLeod Priestley born 1904.  Mary Ann died in 1905 and according to the 1911 census Norman is living with his grandfather Archibald McDonald.  Norman joined the Navy at age 16.  He married a Mary Olsen in 1930.
Any further information would be greatly received.

1901 census shows Norman M. Priestly born c1872 Ireland-

However, there's a similar birth for Norman McLeod Pressly but in 1889 (married in India and in Aberdeen in 1901 so not the same man)-

Death: Norman Priestley, age 74, died 27 Sept.1939 Belfast registration district

So, born c1865? If that's correct then perhaps born before start of civil registration (1864). Father's occupation from marriage certificate might help trace the family if this is what OP is trying to do.

Priestly Norman McCloud of 81 Denmark Street Belfast fitter died 27 September 1939 Administration Belfast 5 January to Jane Elizabeth Arnold widow. Effects £64 12s. 6d.

Cuming - Erected by John Cuming of Purdysburn in memory of his father George
Cuming who died 30 Oct 1833 aged 70 years. And his mother Margaret Cuming
who died 20 May 1833 aged 60 years. The above John Cuming died 08 Jul
1871 aged 70 years. And his wife Elizabeth died 28 Jun 1899 aged 81
years. Edwin Priestley, surgeon, died 28 Aug 1892 aged 28 years. Hugh
James Arnold died 12 Jan 1923 aged 26 years, grandson of the above William
Priestly. Norman Priestly died 27 Sep 1939.

of his brother James George Cuming, surgeon, who died 11 Apr 1831 aged 31
years. And his grand-daughter Elizabeth Cuming Priestly who died 22 Aug
1858 aged 3 years. Also Annie McKee Priestley died 10 May 1864 aged 11
months. Also his son-in-law William Priestley of Saintfield died 14 Dec
1874 aged 50 years. Also James, eldest son of William Priestley, died 05
Feb 1876 aged 19 years. Jane E. Arnold died 30 Dec 1940.

Arnold Jane Elizabeth of Ballygraingee Greyabbey county Down married woman died 30 December 1940 Probate Belfast 24 April to William Arnold farmer. Effects £280 3s

The Will of William Priestley late of Saintfield County Down Woollen Draper deceased who died 14 December 1874 at same place was proved at Belfast by the oaths of the Reverend Samuel Hamilton Presbyterian Clergyman and Thomas Fulton M.D. both of Saintfield same County the Executors.
Will mentions wife, daughter Margaret McNawl & 'six children'

Merchant William Priestly of Saintfield (father William also a merchant) married Margaret Cumming of Ballygowan (father John, a merchant) on 22 June 1854 in Drumbo Presbyterian Church.

The Will of Margaret M'Nall Priestley otherwise Priestly late of Saintfield County Down Widow who died 13 June 1885 at same place was proved at Belfast by William Albert Priestley of Saintfield Merchant one of the Executors.
