Many thanks for info on John. The Marr Cert seems to have right age for him but cannot find a death for a John b. 1876 Bristol, Glocs stated on 1881 Census nor a birth for John b. 1885/6 if he was 15 on 1901 Census. John married 1907 and age stated as 22yrs.
Marr Cert states father's name as Joseph as per 1881 Census so Father died, Mother remarried.
Help appreciated in finding birth please. Syljun

Have now found  birth of John on Freebmd Sept 1885 Barton Regis - Also Death of Joseph Jarrett  Sept 1884. Bristol. Still need death of John born 1876.

I'm slightly confused (not an uncommon occurrence!) --- why are you looking for the death of a John born in 1876 please - when his birth seems to be in 1885?

There is a John Jarrett b about 1876 in Bristol, working as a farm servant in Talley, Carmathenshire in 1891 --- I wonder if that is the one who appeared with Joseph and Jane in 1881?

He doesn't seem to be around in 1901 though.
I am now even more confused and going off to sit in a darkened room!
