Can anyone help me re George Coleman my great grandfather.
He married my great grandmother Sophia humans in dec 1849.
My grandmother Sarah jane was born 1854 showing  George Coleman father
However Sophia remarried in 1855 saying she is a spinster

How do I research George Coleman
s common name and a miner
Any suggestions

Does Sarah's 1854 birth cert say her mother was Sophia Coleman nee Humans?

You haven't given any indication of where they lived/married/places of birth etc.

Is this George and Sophia on 1851?

Can't see a marriage in 1849 for George Coleman/Sophia Humans.

However there is a marriage of a George Coleman -

q4 1849, Aston
Vol 16 Page 409

On the same page is a Sophia Davis.

There is a birth for a Sarah Jane Coleman in 1854, Aston, which ties in with area of the above marriage.

If the marriage is correct it would be advisable to purchase the marriage cert to enable you to progress further as hopefully George's father's details will be recorded on the marriage cert.
