help to deceipher townland in Crossabeg
« on: Friday 08 January 16 22:39 GMT (UK) »

This is a link to NLI baptisms for crossabeg Wexford.  (I have tried to upload a copy but it is saying file is to big) http://registers.nli.ie/pages/vtls000634015_012

The first entry is for Patrick Kehoe, father William and mother Margaret Quirke.  next is the sponsors and then ??  Is it the townland and if so does anybody know what it says?

Any help appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey I'm new to this forum, just seen your message, I'm from crossabeg, don't remember any Townland by the name of Ballykelly, but the neighbouring village of BAllymurn has a townsland called Ballykelly, perhaps you have this info already  :)

Welcome to RootsChat Bluewizzie2,
it is always useful to have someone with local knowledge on board.
In this case Crossabeg refers to the Roman Catholic parish of Crossabeg so it's quite likely the Ballykelly you refer to.
You can see here the areas covered by Crossabeg parish
https://www.johngrenham.com/places/civil_in_rc.php?churchid=0577&county=&church_name=Crossabeg
clicking on each name will show the townlands.
