A few words in 1545 will John Gylman

Can anybody help me out with a few words please?

I agree with GR2 on more or less everything - the only thing I would point out is that the symbol at the end of "otts" and detts" is actually a contraction used at the end of a word, representing the letters "-es" (or "-is" or "-ys"), so it's actually "ottes" and "dettes".

This is mentioned in TNA's palaeography tutorial at:
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/palaeography/where_to_start.htm#abbreviations
They give "oates" as an example - as you're no doubt aware, spelling varied enormously in the 16th century, from one part of the country to another, and quite often within the same document. So no problem with finding "ottes" here.

Interesting it was that 'double t' that threw me twice!
I'll be on the look out for it next time  ;)
Not sure I would have thought 'otts/ottes' was oats though even then. Thanks for the link to TNA.
