In 1821 there's a Susan Chilton age 50 lodging with Absolom and his family and there's a burial of Susan Chilton of Parton Square age 80 21 September 1841, I wonder if Susan Chilton is Susan Griffiths and was listed as Griffiths in error? Of course this doesn't explain what the relationship with Absolom was.

Hi that looks likely :-

Possible connection?

Absolom Griffiths
Ann Chilton
Marriage    16 Jan 1809, Wellington, Shropshire

There are a couple of Ann Chiltons baptised in Wellington in the right time period with mother Susannah

Thanks again everyone, and for the PM.

I'll need to do the mind mapping thing and thoroughly check out the CHILTONs.  At a guess Susan would have been Absalom's aunt.

Looks like the neighbouring William could be a candidate for the tree too.

Is the Wellington 1821 census in-line anywhere, please?

Thanks hugely

Mike
