Asking someone for the 1851 census was going to be my next question! This certainly seems to be the right family if the IGI is to be believed. I don't suppose you have the 1841 census too do you? :)

Address: Water Row, Selkirk

You probably have this already, but Margaret's (mother) maiden name was LYON.

The above are at 27 Stirling Street, Galashiels on the 1851 census, I would appreciate a look-up on the 1841 census for them.  Father's name was Thomas Brown

In memory of Thomas Little son of James Little Shepherd Kerrcleuch who died 26-9-1855 aged 11yrs also of James Little for 44 yrs shepherd on the farm at Chapelhope who died at Logan Cotttage Tweedsmuir 22-2-1880 aged 75yrs and of Mary Laidlaw his wife who died at Talla Linns 5-7-1881 aged 75yrs.

KTLLOYD    Walter Scott and Margaret Ritchie were married Yarrow 29th May 1814.No trace Yarrow or Ettrick cemetery.or Selkirk 3
there are various Walters born Yarrow around 1783 only one with a "Walter" Scptt Father/Margaret Kennedy born 30- 11-1788 
Walter born 4-1-1787 parents Alex Scott and Christian Scott
Walter bon 17-4-1796 parents James and Eliz Stuart.

ther is a Elizabeth Waugh wife of Michael Nichol who died 23-2-1891 aged 65yrs  with a  daughter Martha dying 1900  in Brierylaw Cem selkirk.
