Richard Wallitt baptism lookup request
« on: Friday 15 January 16 11:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi
can someone find the baptism of the following person for me ?

Richard Wallitt(sometimes spelt Wallett).
I think he may be from Keyston. The only other info I have on him is that a daughter of his was born there in 1727 so hopefully he was born in the 1st 5 years or so of the 1700's.

Many thanks,
Trisha

If you check the IGI at www.familysearch.org you'll find baptisms of other children going back to 1711, so I think your proposed birth date is ten years or more too late. I can't find a marriage for Richard in Hunts after 1700 on Hunts Marriage Index, which is complete for the county (I don't have the pre 1701 fiche), although the IGI shows baptisms in the mid 1600s where the father is Richard, so there is a Wallett connection to Keyston, and a christian name connection too. But I can't find a baptism. Hunts isn't the easiest county to research online as the LDS was refused permission to film many parish registers

Hi
thanks for all the info.
I've noticed,as well that Hunts is very difficult to research online so it's typical of me to have a load of ancestors from there!
I'll go and look on family search as you suggest.
Many thanks,
Trisha
