The birth should have been registered June qtr but may have been registered late and therefore Sept qtr.  Don't forget that early on in registration some births were not registered

June quarter would cover May i.e June quarter = April, May, June.  My advice would be to check on FreeBMD for her registration entry.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi

If you are looking for a Liverpool birth then also look at West Derby Registration District as that covers many Liverpool suburbs.

As already said having an established birth date doesn't necessarily mean the birth was registered in the quarter including that month. The birth may have been registered in a later quarter or not at all. You say born in Liverpool in 1853, at this time the city had extended into areas covered by Toxteth Park and West Derby registration districts. Other parts of modern Liverpool were in 1853 outside the city and covered by West Derby registration district, such as Walton and Garston for example.

Have you put it on the Unwanted Certificate board  ;)

Some Liverpool baptisms are available which would mean you can check the parents [at least the father] then specify to the GRO or Register Office that the birth you want has such a father.

If you give us the name we can look; also, how do you know the birthdate without the birth certificate?
