I have been given some information regarding my late grandmothers first husband David Cahill also his father James Cahill.  There both to have been in prison in early 1900s for stealing in Lancashire.  How do I go about searching for any articles regarding their convictions.....appreciate any help.

Anyone residing in the UK may join Lancashire's library service, once you receive your library card, you can use it at any library in Lancashire. With the library card you should be able to access British Library 19th Century Newspapers or you could a few years ago.

Hope it still works
