Leonard Hague - England to Australia and back to England
« on: Saturday 23 January 16 16:27 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for ship's manifest or immigration papers for Leonard Hague, born c. 1866 in Sheffield England, supposedly migrating to Queensland Australia in October 1885 on the ship Chyebassa with his brother & wife, Walter Hague and Hannah Cook, and then reappearing in Sheffield in 1901 to marry Bertha Kent.

I believe I have Leonard's burial site at Norton Cemetery, Sheffield, buried on May 27, 1946, if this is the correct Leonard.

Is there any way that I can check to see paperwork taking him back from Queensland to Sheffield in the time between 1885 and 1901?  I have not found any leads here.

Thanks for any help.

I did have the entries from Sheffield Indexers, thanks Willsy.  Many of my Hague ancestors are listed under that site.  I appreciate your looking for me.
Cupoflife, I am so grateful for the manifest from the Chyebassa.  That proves, at least, that he came out with his elder brother, Walter, my great-grandfather.   I was certainly looking in other directions and did not know this link.
Do you, by any chance, know the link I can use for the journey back to England?
To both:   Thanks so much.

No, not for outgoing passengers.
