Cyril Robson 1899 Master Baker Yorkshire/Liverpool/Wallasey

I am researching my family tree and cannot find any info for Cyril Robson.  I think he was born in Yorkshire.  he lived with my grandmother Lilian Cunningham (maiden Hepple) and had a daughter in 1938.  He was a Master Grocer and had a shop in Liverpool and then moved to Wallasey.  He died 1963 in Wallasey.

Any info would be really appreciated

Where did Lilian live and when? When you say Cyril lived with Lilian do you mean as a couple or that he was a lodger with her?

Lilian was married to Tom Cunningham and lived in East Riding Yorkshire.  They were married in 1929 and had two children Christopher  and Gerald Cunningham.  Lilian then split with Tom Cunningham and moved Cyril Robson into the home.  They had one child named Vanda C Robson in 1938.  Cyril remained with the family until his death in Wallasey in 1963.  Her husband Tom Cunningham then moved back into the family home in Wallasey until his death a few years later.  I have put some more info below.

Lilian and Cyril lived in New Brighton perhaps from 1950 onwards

At some time Lilian lived in Durham could she have met Cyril there??

Her children's births were reg 1929 Sculcoates & 1934 Hartlepool

I was thinking the same that they both were from Durham.  I can't imagine Lilian moving to Liverpool by herself.

I'm leaning towards the 1898 Auckland birth.

Cyril and Lil*n appear on the 1939 register in Liverpool as LOBSON. His date of birth is given as (July) 1898.

A tree on A*try suggests he was a widow with quite a few children by 1928.

I wondered if he might be the one I saw on A*sty. Where do I find the 1939 register?
Mum never mentioned that her dad had children or that he had been previously married, so she probably never knew, I wish I had done this whilst she was still alive but it was always on my to do list.

Hi Jenny,

The 1939 register is on FMPast.

I'd suggest getting Cyril's birth cert (the 1898 Auckland one) to see if his birthdate matches up.
