Elizabeth Boarder, Marriage or death Record

Hi,
Looking fir help in locating the possible Marriage or Death record for Elizabeth Boarder, she was born in York, England in 1889 and emigrated to Canada following the death of her husband in WW1. She was resident in Montreal but I am not able to locate a records of a possible re-marriage or of her death. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking at the Canada Oceans arrivals form she was going to friends - Mr and Mrs Law 148  2 nd Avenue Verdun Montreal.
Unfortunately there is no BMD Index available in Canada -  Canada has very strict privacy laws and each province imposes its own even further.  Additionally, some provinces are more research friendly than others so researching in Canada can be challenging. As a guide BMD Records are only available for births more than a 100 years ago, marriages 85 years ago (They are up to about 1931 ish at the moment) and deaths 70 years ago. Sometimes by using newspaper announcements, cemetery records, obituaries, telephone directories, http://www.canada411.ca/ etc it is possible to trace the families forward but nothing is jumping out at me at the moment.

There is a Mrs Elizabeth Boarder showing on the Canada Voters List 1949 - Robinson Street Hamilton Ontario - occupation operator - 
No positive way of identifying if she is the one you seek though

Also a William Harry Boarder on Canada Ocean arrivals form 30 a - passage paid by mother E Boarder. Going to the same Verdun Address as Elizabeth - 148 2 nd Avenue Verdun Montreal
Grandparents MR and Mrs Redford  41 Bolton Chorley Lancs.

Presume this is her son

William Harry Boarder passed away in California - born 4 February 1915 other country passed away 5 March 1992 Sacremento California.

Thank you, Sandra, for your efforts, I was not aware of the Canadian privacy laws so looks like I am unlikely to find the information I seek at the present time. You are correct I have the info you described already on my tree, it is just that there was a story she did remarry later in life and I wondered if it was possible to find this and also her death record. She did originally set out to go to the US but as her widows pension would not have been paid there, she went to Canada instead.

I have found an obituary for Elizabeth in the Montreal Gazette dated 13 Oct 1948 and you were correct that she did remarry. His name was John Williams. The obituary also references her first husband and gives her maiden surname as Redford. Here is a link to the obituary entitled Williams-Boarder:
