Find Death Dates
« on: Wednesday 17 February 16 04:01 GMT (UK) »
Hello - I am trying to find the dates of death for the following people:

John Taylor (b. 8 Feb 1802)
1st wife: Mary Taylor (nee Wrigley) (b. ~1800)
2nd wife: Nanny Taylor (nee Robinson) (b. ~1801)

John and Nanny appear in the 1841 census together in Oldham, Lancashire with 3 children (1 born to Mary, 2 born to Nanny). Presumable Marry died between when 1st child was born in 1822 and when John remarried in 1831. I can't find any records or John or Nanny after 1841.

Children were born in 1822, 1832 and 1834/5. The youngest son, Daniel, immigrated to the US around 1852. The Oldest son, Samuel, immigrated to the US around 1862. I have no records of the middle son.

I'm hoping to find the year of death, possibly by finding their grave stones?

The following site may prove useful, if they were buried in Oldham?

Thank you. I am starting to look through these sites. Here is a little more information that might be helpful:

On the 1841 census, John and Nanny Taylor were living in the town of Knott Lanes, which appears to be in between Oldham and Ashton-under-Lyne. They were married in 1831 at Greenacres Moor in Oldham, and I thought it possible that they were buried in the cemetery there. However, I haven't had the best of luck searching (or knowing where exactly to search) within that cemetery.

Thanks for looking!

Unfortunately I don't think either of those work. John remarried Nanny in early 1831, so Mary likely would have died prior to that.

Nanny and John appeared together in the 1841 census in Oldham/Ashton-under-Lyne in Lancashire - so she died after 1841. I cannot find anything related to her or John after 1841.
