So pleased everyone was able to find the information for you, it isn't always easy in Canada because of the strict privacy laws but you were very fortunate with your family.  Happy Hunting.

Good Evening.  My niece just sent me the link to your discussion.  I am the great-granddaughter of Thomas Simpson.  I was born 28 Jul 1960 at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital in St. Thomas, Ontario.  Thomas was on another floor of the hospital and I was taken up so he could meet me before he passed away on 4 Aug 1960.  His son (my grandfather) was Thomas Edward Simpson 1911-1985 who married Gladys Viola Hewson born 1917 and still with us although she recently (at the age of 103) had to move into a nursing home.  They had 2 children -- Thomas Edward Alexander Simpson and Margaret Joyce Simpson (my mother).  Thomas E A Simpson married Patricia Henry.  They have 2 biological sons and 1 adopted girl.  Margaret J Simpson married Gordon Matthews and they had 3 girls and 2 boys.  My gg Simpson's daughter was Joyce Simpson who married Ralph Chambers.  They had one daughter Mary Jane who married Warren Doan.  They have 2 adopted boys and 2 adopted girls.  Mary Jane passed away not long ago.  Anyway . . . I know many of the people first-hand plus the newer generations.  Let me know if I have answered your questions.
