The above married Peter Robertson (born 1815 in ?? country) in 1846 in Auckland New Zealand.

Does anyone have Susan Somervell's parents in their tree or any information on her?

None say born Ayrshire, some say Lanarkshire, however her birth record does not appear on Scotlands People near that date.

Hi Dan,
The trees were on Ancestry, none seem to have found the birth record. There are records on Ancestry for Susan/Susanna/Susannah - Somervil/Somerville?Sommerville. So I guess some are thinking that the one on the 1841 census in Lanarkshire is her.

There are birth records on Scotland's People but as far as I can tell they are before 1817 and after 1830 but I could be wrong, it might be worth checking?

From the a/try tree that Colin mentions, http://person.ancestry.co.uk/tree/6583129/person/-1266284616/facts - it gives Susan's date of arrival in NZ in 1842. This is the manifest referred to on the tree here http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ourstuff/DuchessofArgyle.htm

The tree mentions that the Henry showing on the manifest was her brother. No sources given for this. The Glasgow birth details on the tree show as 13 FEB 1824 • Bridgeton, Glasgow.

First born daughter is given as Jane Reid Robertson. Wondered whether this might be a reference to Susan's mother? Haven't found anything further on this though so far.

Whilst useful, always hard to work through details from other's research when direct sources are not given for verification 

However, there is one possible entry for a sibling here https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X17N-FQ2 to a couple with those names in Glasgow.

It being 1841 , of course no relationships  between the householders are recorded. But this is a Susan Somervail (Somerville ?) living with a Henry and Ann of same name (siblings perhaps) and with a family of Robertsons (co-incidence ?) .

Intriguingly this Susan's birthplace is unknown

Hi again,

Having studied the manifest for the Duchess of Argyll it looks like the Robertson family from the 1841 Census with Henry and Susan Somervail/Somervell are also on board and sadly lose a male child on the voyage 30th Jul 1842.
