There is a marriage on 15 May 1749 between George Holmes and Jane Tomlinson at Cheadle, Staffordshire.

His age is given as 23 and hers as 18. He is a skinner.

The marriage was by licence sworn at Lichfield. George is from Cheadle and Jane from Sudbury (Derbyshire)

(Note the date of 15 May 1749 was when the licence was sworn, the marriage may have been on that date or a later one).
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
