Parsonage and Mulliner connection.
« on: Saturday 20 February 16 15:12 GMT (UK) »
I have tried for weeks to sort this one out - but have failed. Perhaps fresh eyes can see the link.
There is no 1841 census for the Wrexham Area, but on the 1843 tithe maps I have as  occupier of plots at Gwersyllt. Elizabeth Mulliner .
Close by is Thomas Parsonage.

Family Search
Christenings Shocklach Father's Name    James Mulliner       Mother's Name    Elizabeth
Were there other children between 1806.
Could there be a daughter that married Thomas Parsonage
John Mulliner 2 9 June 1817
William Mulliner 27 Sep 1819
Joseph Mulliner 30 Dec 1821
Job Mulliner     09 May 1824
Mary Mulliner 4 June 1826

1851 Gwersyllt
Elizabeth Mulliner widow  64 farmer b Beeston b 1787
Job Mulliner  son 26 b Shocklach 1825

1851 Upper Gwersyllt
Thomas Parsonage widower  47 farmer b Gresford c 1804
 Eliza Parsonage dau  16 b Gresford c 1835
Mary Parsonage dau 10 b Gresford c 1841
 Jane Parsonage  sister unm  50 b Gresford c 1801
 George Parsonage  brother widower 53 b Gresford c 1798

By 1861 the Mulliners have moved and Mary is with them described as Job`s niece.
1861 Ryton Denbighshire
Job Mulliner head  unm 36    Farmer 333 Acres 12 Labourer 2 Boys   b Shocklach 1825
Elizabeth Mulliner  mother  widow 75   b Beeston 1786
Mary Parsonage   21 unm neice b Gwersyllt

Did Job have a sister that married Thomas Parsonage .
I can`t even find baptisms for Mary and Eliza to find their mothers name.
Gresford MIs:   738: This is definitely the correct Thomas
In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Parsonage, the Nelson Arms, Wrexham, and
formerly of Gwersyllt Farm, Summerhill, who died November 13th 1871 aged 70.
Four other lines that cannot be read.

*************************************************************************

I also have a problem with Elizabeth. The only match I can find is this.
Elizabeth Mulliner. Born c 1786. Beeston (census)  , about 2 miles from Bunbury.
 IGI
Elizabeth Hampson     Christening     21 May 1786  Bunbury, Cheshire, England
Father's Name    William Hampson

Family Search
Joseph Mulliner   married Elizabeth Hampson
09 Apr 1806   Wem, Shropshire, England
Pallots Index original image has Jos.

All the children baptised Shocklach have James as the father.
And then I found this- A James Mulliner died 1826 at Shocklach b 1767.
Surely too old to be Elizabeth`s husband.

 Thanks for reading

You beat me, I just found that  :)
Loppington is only  a few miles from Wem.
So it does seem that Sarah is  probably Job`s elder sister, but has there been a mistake with James / Joseph for the marriage to Elizabeth Hampson.

Baptised Loppington, Shropshire, all with parents James and Elizabeth
James Mulliner     23 May 1807
Thomas Mulliner   25 Jan 1808
Eliza Mulliner     03 May 1811
Anne Mulliner      13 Nov 1815

If this is the same family then Elizabeth was popping out children for 15 years at a regular rate of every 2 years.  The next found was  John in 1817 at Shocklach.
