Have read the postings with much interest!!

I have been researching the Beaty/Beatty/Beattie families for many years. My husband is a grandson of William Joseph Beattie; great grandson of William Beattie/Eliza Sarah Phipps; great great grandson of Charles Beatty/ Catherine Ann McFarlane. I was for many years in contact with Arthur Beattie of Trentham. Unfortunately we were unable to go to the reunion in 1985.

Hi everyone
My mother was Marjorie Catherine Gillis Ewart, raised by Aaron & Mary Kate Gillis! My g Grandfather Aaron Gillis G g Grandfather John Gillis & Margaret Hawkes. Some of you might have known Mum, I know Shirley Anderson did. As mum lived until 101, knew so much, I have been researching for yrs! Only finding out how closely related to Beattie Family! Mum did tell me but I needed it confirmed!
Thank You so much all of you! My Brother Dr Peter Griffiths & myself, are tracing more than we realised! Mum is buried in Trentham Cemetary, will try to download pictures after

The gillis family is from Raws Upper County Donegal aka The Raws
