Searching for information on a family member 1901

Hello,this is my first post on here.

I started researching my family tree for medical reasons but soon got bitten by the bug. I have found out a lot of information so far. I ordered the birth certificate of my great grandmother so I could find out my great great grandmothers name. On the certificate which I received today is indeed her mums name but In the box where the  fathers name  should be it is blank and has a line through it,the same with the fathers occupation box. The year was 1901. I'm thinking it must have been quite the scandal in that time?
My great great grandmother was called Sarah Elizabeth Peach and was a domestic servant. I think I have found her in records and that her date of birth was 1874. Her daughter was born 12/10/01 and named Ailah May. She was born at puddle hill bonsall UD but the address of her mother was south street,Newton Alfreton.
If I am correct Sarah married 3yrs after having her daughter to a William Housley. Who I presume wasn't the father as he isn't on the birth certificate.
Can anybody help with any further information on that family or as to why the father would have been left off a birth certificate?

I wouldn't say the Grandparents of Ailah are immediately identifiable

It seems Ailah went to stay with her Grandfather and his 2nd wife

It looks like Isaac and Charlotte are her grandparents

what does seem to be strange is Sarah Elizabeth Peach had a daughter Ailah May in 1901 Sarah Elizabeth married William Housley  and their 4th child together -b 1910 was also named Ailah (Housley)
