Edward Jenkin of Penrice
« on: Monday 22 February 16 23:58 GMT (UK) »
Awhile ago, I went to the RO and took a photo of the page of the register of the parish of Penrice for 1710.

On it was my ancestor Edward Jenkin baptised 25 Mar 1710. I went home and printed it out and popped it in my file and deleted the image from the camera (Big mistake! Never do this until you are finished or satisfied everything is done...).

Now im ready to work on this part of my tree again I cant find my print out  :(

FindMyPast have the image via the FamilySearch site but I dont have a sub. Can any kind person tell me what it says please....

**LESSON LEARNED**  ::)

Many thanks,
David.

Thank you.

Ive just realised my library has a FindMyPast account. And have just viewed it, but I cant quite see how the name Jenkin has been transcribed. Is anyone able to check this for me? I can see a letter J and K as one letter followed by an 'in'. I'll try and make an image to put here when I get home.

Has anyone seen Jenkin/Jenkins written like this before?

Many thanks.

Hi David, so sorry I cannot help you. Never the less would you have these names in ancestors line please?Hannah born 1810 11 children born in the Landore Inn. One named Edward one named Edmund. I have much more..Anyhow I am just wondering if your Jenkin line may corrolate with my Jenkin/Jenkins. as well!John Williams married an Annie Jenkin, probably the relation to Hannah, as Hannah had child named Annie.Also the name Sophiah is carried through a couple of generations in my Jekin/s line. I would appreciate it if you could reply with some fresh news on this Jenkins line. many thanks from Diane.

Hi Diane.

Are your Jenkin/s from the Gower. Im not too sure about the other descendants as Ive just been working on an ancestral chart. I will of course 'pad' everything out over time and do more research, but thats awhile off yet im afraid...
