marriage 1864.Shrewsbury
« on: Friday 26 February 16 15:31 GMT (UK) »
Is it possible for anyone to check these marriages, I need to know who Maria's father was to see if it the same woman

In 1871 Everton I find
Maria Mullener 40 b 1831 Llansellin, Denbighshire,
Mary Hughes dau   17   b Royton Shropshire
Sarah E Hughes dau  b  ""

1864 Maria Hughes married Edwin Mulliner at Shrewsbury St George
Presumably Maria was a widow when she married.

This seems like  her
1861 Wykey, Oswestry Shropshire
Maria Hughes W farmer 32 b Llansilin Denbighshire
 Mary b 1854 Ryton
Sarah E  b 1856 Ryton

Is  this Maria Jones 1st marriage.
Marriages Sep 1851   Llanrhaiadr ym Mochnant, Denbighshire.  St Dogfan
HUGHES  Evan
JONES  Maria

And her husbands death.
Deaths Jun 1860   Evan Hughes Llanfyllin

Thanks.

I'd be very careful once you start introducing Jones/Hughes etc in Wales! So many of them around, too easy to get on the wrong track.

A birth cert of  Mary or Sarah E would confirm Maria's maiden name and Mr Hughes's first name, to help you be sure you are on the right track, or not as the case may be.
The girls were born Shropshire, which implies a move before death of their Dad, so you would expect (not that that means anything, of course, in Family History research!) him to die in Shropshire.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Well  - thank you all very much. So easy to get on the wrong track.

I did see in 1861 Wykey, Oswestry Shropshire .
With Maria there was this girl, but I couldn`t find a Morris match in the marriages.
Maria Morris niece 16 b Llansilin.

After an awful incident in Wrexham,   Maria moved to Everton, she died there in 1874. Poor woman.
