He married Emma Ferreday on 3/10/1836 Wellington,Shropshire.

Hello
Yes,sorry library computer switched off just as I posted.
It'd from a church record.I looked at the microfilm of Lilleshall christenings.
There's a sister Jane Cooper   d of John and Sibella  1.10.1815 Donington labourer
Brother Richard Couper 11.9.1808
I did 20 years either side.
I can't see a marriage I'm afraid

There's a burial for John Goodwin Cowper at Lilleshall from Donington age 58 16.4.1836
and for a 'Sarah' from Donnington age 88 in 27.12.1859
(She seems to be  Sarah on the 1841 census with son Richard.)
ps just found that marriage a lot earlier than I thought

John Cooper 26.7.1790 Sherriff Hales  to Sibbeley Adderley of this parish x for both wit Thomas Adderley and Nathaniel Eks?

Alternative burial for John 13.10.1847 from Donnington age 83

Hi, ciderdrinker you have done a great favour there for me, Thankyou everso.
All the children to Isaac & Emma are named in a Scottish style, except for the first girl, Martha instead of Sybil ???. or maybe did'nt want to name the child Sybil.
Do you know if the Shrops records are online anywhere, to see if I can find the parents of John & Sybil.
Thanks again ciderdreinker.  :)  :)

Hi
There's definitely some on FindMyPast but of course you have to pay.Your family are there.
The other site is melocki,org.com but they don't cover Lilleshall etc at the moment so it's bite the bullet and pay for FindMyPast

Sybilla Adderley is from Church Eaton Staffordshire 6.4.1771 d of Thomas and Sybilla(mother buried 31.1.1792)
The parents married at Lapley All Saints 20.12.1769 mother's maiden name Barnett.
They are on FindMyPast as well

It looks like John is from Shifnal s of Richard and Mary  born 23.12.1763 bapt 1.1.1764 from a place looks like Zean flane but not somewhere that immediately springs to mind.
But there are a couple of other possibles- one at Lilleshall in 1766 10.3.1766 to John and Elizabeth Cowper

Hi ciderdrinker.
It seem's John and Sibyl moved around, I have found christenings of their children in 4 different parishes, 8 children in all, but one died young.

The lead's you gave me on Sibyl's parent's look very good, but, with John Cooper being such a common name (there appear's to be many, and who know's where his parent's came from), I'm unshure where to start, Isaac and Emma have named their children as so - 1st boy & girl His parents, 2nd boy and girl Emma's parent's, and the 3rd after themselves, this make's John's parent's William & Jane? maybe ??. I have a feeling that the Cooper's originated from Scotland ?.
Zean flane ? can't find anything on that.

melocki.org.uk has infomation on my g-gran's family in Shrop's, so thanks for that - another big help, I had not heard of melocki before.

So again, a big thankyou ciderdrinker.
zacslad.

I am a senior who resides in Nova Scotia, Canada.  I have the following information on my Family Tree.  My connection is through the Humpherson Line (coming from Donnington Wood)
I have Enoch Humpherson (1870) married to Emily Ferraday (1872)  They were married in Newport, Shrop.

I have Isaac Cooper (1875.  His parents were William Cooper and Emma Challinor

I hope this is helpful to you

Kind regards,

Hi Doris, I too am a senior, thank you for your message.
Unfortunately it is not the same Isaac Cooper, the one I am related to died in 1855.
But I do think he is from the same family, possibly a descendant of one of Isaac's older brother's, a lady contacted me about this same Isaac some years ago, but I no longer have her contact details.
His Grandfather, or G/Grand parent's should be John Cooper and Sybil Adderley.
