Sarah Kirk born 1813 Loughborough

I have the marriage certificate of Sarah Kirk to Thomas Hallam in 1845.  I am trying to trace her father but have very few details - Daniel Kirk, gardener.  I have found his marriage to Elizabeth Cooper in Ancaster, Lincolnshire in 1799 but their the trail ends.  Sarah Kirk was baptised in 1843 in Loughborough so I presume the family was living there at that time.
Would be grateful for any further information.

 Just a thought maybe Thomas Hallam's  family were very religious and to get engaged or accepted by his family she needed to be taken formally into the church and so was Christened.

Was Thomas Hallam a widower on the 1845 marriage cert?  The 1851 has a 13yr old daughter Sarah Hallam b Loughborough but I can't find an 1841 entry

There is this baptism but it doesn't fit an 1845 marriage

I don't have full transcripts but a Daniel Kirk aged 71 was buried 6 Feb 1816 at Loughborough All Saints, and a Daniel Kirk aged 54 was buried 29 Sept 1829 at Woodgate Baptist Church, Loughborough. 

Nottingham Review and General Advertiser for the Midland Counties 02 October 1829:
On Tuesday, an inquest was taken before C. Meredith, Gent, Coroner, at the Black Horse Inn, Loughborough, on the body of Daniel Kirk, gardener, aged 55, who, late on Saturday night, missed his way, and making a wrong turn, got into a manure hole, where he was found suffocated on Sunday morning.  Verdict, accidental death.

If Sarah's family were Baptist it could explain her late baptism into the Church of England.

I can't see an Elizabeth but an Eliza Kirk aged 62 was buried 26 Feb 1842 at Woodgate Baptist, and on 11 Oct 1841 an Eliza Kirk aged 19.  All other burials there are children.

Thomas Hallam was born in East Leake.  His first wife was SARAH Mansfield who died in 1843.  Second wife was SARAH Kirk.  It is  DANIEL KIRK who I am trying to find.  The only information I have is in my first posting.  I also read the newspaper article  but this Daniel Kirk seems to be a little bit too old as he was born in 1764.  The marriage to Elizabeth Cooper was in 1799 and Sarah Kirk was not born until 1813.   He would have been 49 then - of course it`s possible, but I think it is unlikely unless he had a very young wife.

A general question about marriage certificates.  If the father of the bride/bridegroom is dead, does it show him as deceased on the certificate?
