The attached clipping is an extract from a marriage certificate from the Religious Society of Friends for the marriage between Michael Biddle and Martha Skidmore.

Where did Michael live and where did the couple marry please???

Michael BIDDLE of Iver in the County of Bucks, husbandman, and Martha SKIDMORE of the parish of Watford in the county of Hertford, spinster, in a publick Assembly of the people called Quakers, at New Jordans in the parish of Giles Chalfont in the said county of Bucks, on the fifteenth day of the tenth month in the year one thousand six hundred ninety and one did solemnly take each other in marriage, in the presence of ........

I hope that answers your query.  The parish of Giles Chalfont is now usually called Chalfont St Giles.

The Quaker meeting house at Jordans is still there, it was first built in 1688 so would have been almost new at the time of the marriage  ...recently been refurbished after a fire.
