Have you got the name of a church?

Any more clues on the birth certificate, such as address?

If you are able to physically visit the church where the baptism took place,   go and ask to see marriage records prior to his birth,  you may then find a marriage.

Or visit the cemetery  to look for headstones.

Hi

Welcome to rootschat  :)

Do you have any siblings for George .  What occupation does Georges marriage give for his father and who were the witnesses.

There is an Anne living in Chirk in 1841 (age 70) who could be linked to the family.

I had wondered if the Thomas (35) with wife Rebecca who were next door but one in 1841 were related.  That would put a marriage for Thomas & Ann a bit earlier  :-\
