Have come to this site rather late but I have been researching Baguley family as my great grandfather was Richard Baguley .I don,t know a great deal as my grandmother Ann Butler nee Baguley died when I was 2.
From Richard Baguley,s birth certificate I guess he was illigitimate. He married Frances Burke & had Charlie, Elizabeth, Ann, John, Mary Ellen,George, & Richard  Richard was killed in WW1.
The early history posted has helped me confirm information gathered.   Thank you

Hello Crawsher
It seems that we're probably related.
The Richard Baguley you mention was my G Grandfather's first cousin. So that makes us 4th cousins by my calculation.
Were you able to find anything more out about Richard's parents? What did his birth certificate say?
All the best
Steve Baguley
