Newspaper snippet, 1900
« on: Tuesday 08 March 16 09:39 GMT (UK) »
I have a little item from a Hull local paper about an inquest in 1900 on the death of a boy. The blame was put on the Charterhouse for not locking a gate.  Embarrassingly I didn't record the exact date this piece appeared, and my subscription has run out.  If anyone could find it for me I would be grateful. :-[

What was the boy's name? It would help to find the article.

It doesn't give his name, Stan.  It just says:
"A witness at a Hull inquest yesterday stated that in his opinion the child of a reservist who was drowned in the Old Harbour, would not have happened the accident [sic] had a gate belonging to the Charterhouse authorities been locked."
I found it when I was searching on "Charterhouse".
