Maiden Name and marriage date between John Stephens & Mary bey 1675 - 1680

John Stephens of Feock, Cornwall married Mary Unknown.  I can locate births consistently from 16 Oct 1680 their son Nicholas so I am wondering if they married immediately prior to 1680 ergo 1675 - 1689.

I don't have an occupation for John.

Good news and bad news.
I've found the marriage but it turns out he and his wife are Quakers.
They married at the Quaker meeting 4.1.1679 at Penryn ,Falmouth
John Stephens of Feock s of Walter Stephens of the parish ? and Mary Jose .
Large number of people present including Nicholas  and Elizabeth Jose.
The original entry is on Ancestry(there are 2 different ones in the Quaker records one with his father and one without ).
There's his burial at the same meeting house John Stephens of Foeck 28.11.1743 not buried till 31st.
His wife Mary buried 1.11.1719  at Kea? on the 3rd
Birth 3.4.1656 at Marazion meeting to Nicholas Jose and Elsabeth
Siblings  Nicholas 20.3.1662 and Rebecca 7.9.1659.
Dad Nicholas of parish of Sennon was buried after long and patient suffering 16.1.1684 buried at Lands End
Mother Elizabeth wife of Nicholas 18th day of 12th month 1685/6

Walter Stephens  of Feock buried 31.12.1716 and his wife Dorothy 5th of the 5th month 1695 at monthly meeting Kea.
It's lovely to have the extra information from the Quaker records but it will be difficult to find births.

Just for confirmation was the marriage date 4 Jan or 4 of the 1st month?

As you know Quakers did not use the names of the months but the numbers so it can be a tad confusing hence the desire to confirm with you.

Yes that wedding I went with the date on the index because the original was so difficult to read.But it does say the 4th day of the 11 month.So the year started on the 25 th March ? and therefore March is the first month and February the 12 th month so it must be January.

Nicholas Jose is born 2oth  day of the 6th month 1662
Rebecca  the seventh day of the seventh month  1659
Mary the 3rd day of the second month 1656

So sorry I got Nicholas junior wrong it should be 20th of August 1662.

There's another sister Honour daughter of Nicholas Jose of Sennon marrying John Tregelles 2oth day of the 6th month 1676,
Nicholas,Elizabeth and Mary present at the quarterly meeting presumably in Marazion.

The birth register starts in 1653 and Mary Jose  is the second entry so Honour is probably older.
