You will notice that Lisa Gustafsson, Johan Henriksson's mother isn't there. Lisa Jacobsdotter is his step mother. His mother died 1 Aug 1743:

Ian, this one - is that the burial for Lisa Gustafsson?  Does it give any details of her parents?

A wee Swedish help...

Aug 14: Giästerby - dräng Henric Christerssons hustru Lisa Gustafsdotter 28 5/6 år gammal begraft i kyrkanstugun död 1 aug

Aug 14 in Giästerby - farmhand Henric Christersson's wife Lisa Gusafsdotter 28 5/6 years old buried at the cemetry dead 1 Aug

and the death under hers is what looks like her son's death

Giästerby - farmhand Henric Christersson's unchristened boy - buried in cemetry.

Ian, please tell me if I am being a pest!

But I have found this explanation for a cause of death:
fans död i Skogen, någr. stenkast fr. Byn hvarom Härads. Rätt. kommer at vidare undersöka

Translated in google says:
fans dead in the forest, no. steps away fr. The village concerning which Härads. Steering wheel. will at further investigate

Was he killed?

Found dead in forest.
Härad = judicial district.
Rätt = justice.

Have you the link to this. It sounds as though he was killed.

I have to go to work now (damn!) but do you know if there is a list of the abbreviations used on the hiski site?  I have read that the initials mean what the father did for work, so that would be good to know.  I have searched but couldn't find what I needed.

Try this site: http://www.genealogi.se/swedish-abbreviations

and of course I can help too.
