Mansell Bapt. and burials Bishops Cleeve.
« on: Friday 11 March 16 22:45 GMT (UK) »
Hello everyone.

I am looking for two children's baptisms (parents Richard and Mary Mansell) born between 1798 and 1808 in Bishops Cleeve.

I am also looking for their burials along with their mother and I am led to believe the mother died sometime before Feb 1808 and the children around the same time.

I don't know if the children are male or female and their mother Mary was baptised 1775 so she would be about 33 in 1808.

I know they have the Burial records at Gloucester Records Office for those years my CD's only start from 1813.It might mean I have to go to Gloucester in the near future.

Thank You so much Claire that is them.Richard went on to Marry Mary's sister Ann in 1808.

In both Richards marriages they spelt his name different from Mansell.

Just put in parents names ( Richard and Mary) and a 10 year timeframe, I thought the surname may have been a problem  :) :) :)

Thats brilliant.

I only found out yesterday that they had two children. After someone sent me a document he had seen years ago headed Richard Mansell and made a note of it nothing to do with his family.

Richard married Marys sister in 1808 and in 1819 they were brought to court because you couldnt marry your dead wifes sister in those days and the marriage was declared illegal.

Alan Thank you again
