If John was born in July 1920 he can't have been the brother of James Walker born in February 1920. James we know was the son of Henry Walker and Alice Rooney so who where John's parents?

The other thing that puzzles me is that I thought the Radcliffe  Infirmary was in Oxford. In John's papers is there Alice's death certificate? If yes who registered her deaths?

Did John keep in touch with his siblings? If yes do you have any information on them? Dates of birth and addresses etc?

Last question was John in England in  1939.

Sorry for all the questions?

Don't be sorry :)
It is possible that John and James are the same person. There is a request for Alice's death certificate in the paperwork I looked at. But we aren't sure if it was ever sent in.

James Walker birth date 2 Feb 1920 is listed in the 1939 National Identity Register so I don't think he can be John as by the age of 19 you would know your birthday and your name. I've tried searching for John but so far no luck.

What official documents did John have that show a birth date and any other useful information? Did he serve in the Forces during WW2 if yes do you have his military papers? Was he married if yes who does he name as his father on his marriage certificate? Did he have a passport?

Hi - Im not sure I can add any extra information, but James Walker born Ardwick 2 Feb 1920 was my grandfather. Henry Walker and Alice his mother he had Sisters Kate (Catherine),Lilian (Elizabeth) and brothers Michael (Mick),Frank (Francis?) plus another brother Henry who died. During recent family discussion there was mention of another half brother who was called John.

I have told Maria about your message. Maria is John's daughter. She is nearly in tears as she never thought they would find her dads family!
