Is any one able to search medical records to see what our ancestors died of?

Thanks

There should be annual statistics somewhere giving a summary extracted from cause of death shown on death certificates.
Only problem may be were there is a primary cause as well as an underlying cause.

Depends how long ago and which jurisdiction.  Usually closed for certain period after death, in most places.
Much easier to get a DC as Wiggy suggests.
