Free Online Genealogy Course with FutureLearn (Week 1)

An interesting new Genealogy course with FutureLearn will be starting in March:

Genealogy - Researching your Family Tree
run by the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

These courses are online and entirely free, although you can purchase a certificate of completion at the end, if you wish.

I see this course is opened a week at a time, which is better as people can't race ahead too much.

I've just created a simple logo and added it to my course profile. If it's allowed, I'm happy for anyone else to use it ....

Edited: the original RC was a bit small so I've made it RootsChatter now....

The only way that I could see to put it on was to put in the photo section of the Profile on there; which I've now done! (Easier to see as well I guess:-)

I've used the avatar I used to have on here, the one of my aunt as a small child.  I've saved your logo though, thanks Deirdre, and may use it later.

That is one draw back about the FL site - it is difficult to follow people at times. It is a pity that you can't type in a name and it then brings up all that person's posts.

Agreed, and there is already so much on there. Perhaps we can stick to discussions on here instead!?
