(for some reason FamilySearch no longer lets you link individual results so I'm having to link the full result page)

There is a way around this problem which I found by accident   ;)

When you find the entry you want a link for right click on the name and select 'open in new tab' (in the new tab the correct link will show)
Nice one, thanks, it was doing my head in, of course I'm on iPad just now but discovered if you keep your finger on the name the choice to open in a new tab comes up.

Or alternatively, simply click on the "Details" icon over to the right.

:o I'd never would have noticed that was a link icon, so used to clicking on the name, which in fairness looks like a link with it's pretty blueness, that page image just doesn't have the same attention grabbing quality.
 ;D ;D
Thanks gaffy

Hi Rick,  I have an interest in this family.  William Smith was a cousin of my grandfather John G Smith of Athlone.  Your May Smith was in fact born Margaret Smith at Strand Street, Athlone on 9th October 1870.  The maiden name of her mother Eliza Duffy is misquoted as Gaffey.  My Tree is up on Ancestry.com

Hi,  I am distantly related to the family of William Smith of Athlone.  He was my grandfather's cousin.  I have a lot of information on the family if you would like to contact me.  Leslie55

Unfortunately rick48 hasn't been on RootsChat since 9th of May 2016 and can't have seen any posts from Reply #12 onwards.
It's possible his settings are set at 'receive notifications after first post only' so he may not realise more posts were made.
A moderator could check if this is the case.
