freebmd help in finding parents of children
« on: Thursday 17 March 16 13:07 GMT (UK) »
i have found several children who may or may be the right ones and who also died very young
is there any way i can find the names of the parents without having to buy the certificates
i have looked at freebmd and also  in the parish records
are there any more websites that might have that information

FreeBMD will show Mother's Maiden Name for births registered after 1st July 1911.

Otherwise you have to look up Parish Registers, or bite the bullet and purchase certificates ;D

You can, of course, try to follow the family through the censuses?

What sort of time period are we talking about and what location?

If any were born around a census date and died after one they should appear.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos
