BTW Irene was on the Olympic Fencing Team and was trained by my dad Professor Ken Russell ( Alfie's best friend)

Alfie was my gym teacher in Folkestone in the 1960s. I'm interested in his life before 1947. I am researching the school where he taught and the owner of the school and his family. Any info you can supply would be gratefully received and added to my book on the subject.

The problem with FreeBMD as opposed to Family Search is that the former does not give more result at a time unlike the latter which at least gives the entire family in census years.
