Eleanor (Black) Teague
« on: Tuesday 22 March 16 17:33 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Can anyone help trace a wedding record about 1852 – 1880

I have the marriage of Eleanor Black and William Teague 10 Mar 1835 Berwick upon tweed and they had 6 children. William was on the 1841 census but in 1851 Eleanor was described as the head with the residence being in Berwick upon Tweed.

Her son Adam Black Teague died fighting at Secunderabad in the East Indies. On his probate (9 Dec 1868) record Eleanor Suter is described as his mother (wife of James Suter) and only kin living at 37 Sidney Street, Commercial Road Middlesex.

I cannot find the death of William Teague or what I assume to be a subsequent marriage to James Suter.

Has anyone reference to the above or can point me in the direction where I may find more details.

Many thanks

I thought his occupation was coal merchant

I typed out the whole details from that PR, but as I pressed "go" my stupid internet blipped, and when it came back my reply had disappeared! I was just debating whether to type it all out again - but you have done it!

Hi Liz

I know - nothing more frustrating than when that happens.  You've done a better job than me with Adam's occupation
