Trying to help a friend - can anyone access an obituary/newspaper announcement for Ernest Ronald Maidment - 12 July 1918 - June 1980 -  Hastings and Rother, Sussex.

It is possible that the British Library may hold a copy of the local paper containing any relevant notice/report. If you provide them with possible titles and a time frame, they will conduct a 30 minute free of charge. They will then offer you the opportunity to purchase a copy of any item. I obtained a copy of a funeral report for about £10.
