Sarah Jane McHarg - formerly Peden (m.s. Dunlop)
« on: Wednesday 23 March 16 15:51 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for information on my 2x Grandmother Sarah Jane McHarg (m.s. Dunlop) formerly Peden. She was born in Ireland and married William Peden. I have no dates. William and Sarah Jane had a son - Hugh Peden and two daughters; Margaret and Mary. Sarah Jane later remarried David McHarg (I don't have a reason for the remarriage) and they moved to Glasgow. Children of Sarah Jane and David: Susanna (b. 1877), James McHarg - My Great Grandfather (b. 1886) and David John McHarg (b. 1890)

I have limited documentation and no photos (other than one of my Great Grandfather), but I'd be glad to share what I have.
Paternal: McHarg, Stevenson, Warnock, Chalmers, Penman, Bremner, Dunlop, Peden, McGuiness, Hall
Maternal: McGraw, Campbell, Ocelle, Edson, Shades, Murphy

William (10 Apr.1869 Co.Down) https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FP6H-7RF

Doesn't seem to be a son William, but rather William the father, as noted on Mary's birth.

So many wonderful responses... thank you all so much! I have some fine tuning to do on my family tree. I wish you all great success in your efforts, and if there's any little thing I can do... don't hesitate to ask.

All the best - Jim
