Channel Islands death register.
« on: Sunday 27 March 16 12:13 BST (UK) »
Hi I am trying to find dates of deaths on the Channel Islands.
Where can I go to find out?
Am particularly looking for Bernard William Hemsley born 24/08/1898,
believed to have died on a trip to the Isle of Sark whilst living on the Channel Islands.
Many thanks Gus

The Channel Islands consist of 2 States -
The Bailiwick of Guernsey   which includes Sark, Alderney, Brecqhou, Jethou and Herm
The Bailiwick of Jersey

Their records are completely separate.

There is information on Sark here:
http://chi.genuki.weald.org.uk/srk/start

It states there:
Birth, Death and Marriage records from 1925 can be found at:
The Greffe, La Chasse Marette, Sark GY9 0SF.

Apply direct to the Church for 20th Century registers
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

I have heard back from The Greffe in Sark, very helpful but could not find any records but said that I should try the Greffe in Guernsey.
