The marriage record shows his address as Brewshill which is in Navan where the marriage took place
In 1901 there is a John CREGAN living in Brewshill but on age would be a brother or cousin -
LINK 1901 &
LINK 1911In 1911 there is a Lizzie CREGAN a niece aged 8 with Patrick and Lizzie SHAFFREY -
LINK1911 census for Margaret and 8 childrenShe states that she had 11 children of which 9 are alive; therefore one is elsewhere which could possibly be this Lizzie (see below for birth records for family)
However Patrick SHAFFREY married Elizabeth COYLE on Nov 15 1892 and I don't see immediately a CROSBY or CREGAN connection
edited to addMichael CROSBY (parents Eugene CROSBY & Maria FAY)
m Bridget COYLE (paretns Michael COYLE & Margaret MAGUIRE?)
on Oct 30 1870 -
LINK Row 59
any chance that these are related to Margaret CREGAN nee CROSBIE/CROSBY
and therefore make a COYLE connection??
What was the name of Margaret's father on the marriage certificate?
