Hugh Williams married Elizabeth Evans
« on: Tuesday 29 March 16 13:34 BST (UK) »
I would really appreciate any assistance with finding a marriage in 1844 of Elizabeth Evans (born 1824 Anglesey, parents William Evans and Ellen Owens) and Hugh Williams (no details).
Thank you, Donna.

14 Oct 1846 at Llanfihangel Esgeifiog Church:
Elizabeth Evans, full age, spinster of Gaerwen, dau. of William Evans, collier married Hugh Williams, full age, bachelor, labourer of Tydyn Mawr, son of Henry Williams, labourer. FindmyPast has an image of the marriage certificate. Bride and groom signed by mark, the witnesses were Richard Evans and Henry ???

Hi Donna, the parish record of the marriage would not mention the name of his mother, if I have the correct family in 1851/61/71/81 at mainly Pen Y Park Llanfihangel Esceifog then Hugh gives b c 1820/23 Cerrigceinwen, or on one Bodedeyrn as his place of birth.
