Marie Francesca Johanne Bartlett Philpott

Can anybody help please. After weeks of trying I have drawn a blank.
I am trying to trace the ancestors of my grandmother named above.
I know she came from Cuxhaven in Germany and she married William James Hemmings 1n 1900 at Aldershot. She was born in 1874 and died in Norwich in 1951. Her mother may have been Maria Bartlett and her father George Philpott.
That's all I have , I'm afraid.

What did Marie's marriage record say about George's occupation (Aldershot = military?) and who were the witnesses, please?

I now see that there was no information at all about the bride's father on the 1900 marriage (relevant spaces are left blank) and the witnesses were T.H. Thomas and C. Frost.

What is your source for George Philpott and Maria Bartlett as possible names for her parents?

The marriage was a bit of a rush - looks like William was shipped out to South Africa on 3 Jan 1900 i.e. the day after!

Just to add to the confusion it looks a possibility that George's mother was named marie!!!!
