Dublin Marriage Cert 1942. Esv ??
« on: Wednesday 30 March 16 21:41 BST (UK) »
Hi Guys,

Further to my original Post  (  topic=744967.0 ) regarding the words  for the fathers occupation.  I have been able to get a better image for viewing. It states Fathers name: Charles McDonnell,  Occ:  Esv Bread Van Driver (or something like Esv ?).

He may have been deceased at the time of his sons marriage, and 'Esv' may refer to him being a former Bread Van Driver - but what is the abbreviation say/mean?; or is it something else.

Any help appreciated, Thanks Dave.

Do you know where Charles lived in Dublin you may be able to follow him up on the register of electors to find when he died

Hi again,

Thanks for you help. I think 'Ex' seems to be most likely possibility. Also thanks for the link to the electoral register. Seems more to the family than I knew of.

Regards,  Dave.
