Isle of Lewis Family History Inquiry
« on: Saturday 02 April 16 23:41 BST (UK) »
My great grandparents Mary Jean MacKay Gillies ( from Garrabost) and Angus Gillies (from Stornoway) were from the Isle of Lewis... My grandmother was born in 47 N Shawbost in Lewis. I am searching for any relatives to provide me with family photos of the Gilies, MacKay,Montgomery  families from the Isle of Lewis. Attached is my family tree and my great grandmothers obit from the Storonoway Gazette in 1974

HI,

Warm welcome to RootsChat

Just in case you haven't come across it yet - at the bottom of each RootsChat page is a section "Your Tools" and under Your Tools a sub heading Surname Index - this is where you can add the surnames you are researching and where other people might find the info.  Hope this helps a little.

If you are researching in Scotland, then have a read on the link below which tells you how to get 20 free credits (courtesy of Milly) - you may find those useful.
