Hoping someone can help me here, Abraham married Mary Alden in 1793 in Avebury, Wiltshire England, they had 5 children. Abraham died 23/9/185 and Mary died 3/2/1837 lm hoping someone can confirm whom his parent are.

Hi Sue, I can't really help with Abraham's parents, but as his middle name is Strange - have you seen this one name study

Seems likely to be somehow related with such an unusual middle name. 

(I also have some Strange ancestors (!) though from Oxfordshire, and have so far verified what I have seen in this study in relation to my own family.)

What document shows a middle name of Strange

There is a baptism in East Kennett of an Abraham Strange Alexander but he died in infancy

There are two Abraham Alexander death registrations for Henley district (covering Britwell Salome) in the 1850s (1851 and 1857).  It could be either, but death cert isn't likely to help with establishing his parentage (unless informant is brother or sister and would help confirm a baptism).

Abraham Strange Alexander was the base born child of Anne Alexander. I would hazard a guess that the father of this illegitimate child was a Mr Strange. As he died in infancy, he is ruled out. But Anne may be related to the family of the Abraham we're looking for.
