I have had that feeling twice in the past. Once my PC crashed, and the computer "expert" I called to save everything ended up wiping the hard drive.

The second time I thought I would transfer everything genealogical to an external hard drive, to avoid the same happening again. The Hard drive I bought came with "easy to use" software for easy transfer of files. So I used the program to transfer the Genealogy folder on my PC. I checked to see if it was on the hard drive, and then deleted the folder from my PC. Only problem was that the folder was empty! Last time I ever used their program for "easy" transfer.
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)
