Agnes Shepherd died on 13.10.1915 at Arbroath.  Her death was registered by her sister Nellie Black who was an 'inmate' on the certificate.
Nellie /Helen had married David Black, a vans man, from Kircaldy on 6.4.1914. The marriage was at Arbroath.
I can't find a death certificate for this Nellie/Helen Black on Scotlandspeople.
If I can find the certificate it might give me some information as to what became of her.

Have you tried a death certificate for her husband David to see if he is listed as widower

I went back onto scotlands people & found 3 deaths in angus between 1915 - 1970 for a david black. unfortunately they were not mine. will keep searching. thanks.

When was Helen born and what was her mother's maiden surname ?
There is a death for a Helen Steel Black / Shepherd 1983 Arbroath Angus , born c1891.

Too recent to view online but the mother's maiden surname may help confirm.

thank you so much. this is my Helen as her maiden name was shepherd. when I was searching on SP for her I put my search from 1915 - 1970. she lived a long life. I will order her death cert. thank you for finding her.
