Need help with this mystery

I've been weighing up information for days now but I'm still very unsure.

Robert Davies born 1773 The Rock, Saint Martin's, Shropshire had 2 sisters, that I know of, Ann born 1770 and Rebecca born 1775.

Now, their parents, I think, were Robert Davies and Mary.

This is where I am at a loss.

I have no date of birth for Robert and no date of birth or maiden name for Mary, but I have found a marriage in Saint Martin's in 1755 between a Robert Davies and a Mary Boodle. This would mean there was 15 years before the birth of their first child Ann.
I have searched marriages right up to 1770 and can't find any other Robert Davies marrying a Mary.
But.........I have also found a record for a Robert Davies of The Rock and Ann having a child named Mary in 1768!

I am completely confused. Even though I haven't got much to go on I'm sure Robert and Mary are the correct people.

Can anyone help solve this mystery?

I have found another birth which fits in with the earlier marriage you found...

Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 20 Jun 1756
Baptism Place: Saint Martins, Shropshire, England
Father: Robert Davies   
Mother: Mary   
FHL Film Number: 501469

I've now pulled up some other results of a Robert born 1751 and a Mary born 1752.

It means the marriage in 1755 wouldn't be the correct people but it means they would have been young when they first had children.

My first options were more believable and if they did have a son in 1756 this leaves a 14 year gap before having the other 3 

I don't know if I'll ever be able to complete these ones to be able to go further back on my tree.
